Extreme life makeover

Our town is going a little crazy these days. The show Extreme Home Makeover is a mile from my house and the street I frequent has been closed. But I have some excitement of my own to share:

We are moving to PHILADELPHIA!

I know. This is totally crazy. I can't argue with that. But there was an opportunity we can't pass up. On Friday Brad got offered an ENT position at a great hospital. We've been praying about it the last few days and feel that this is best in the long run for our family.

Brad had originally wanted to do ENT when we were applying for residencies. We didn't match any of the spots. We were disapointed, but grateful that he got a surgery spot. He loves doing surgery. The thing that makes this such a hard decision is that we love Lansing. We are so happy here and it is hard to think of leaving. But we couldn't pass up the chance for Brad to do ENT, when it was what he's wanted for so long.

Logistically, I'm scared silly. Brad leaves in 2 weeks. There is A LOT to do before he leaves. But I just have to believe that it is going to work out. I have no idea when the kids and I will be able to get out there. Obviously selling the house is going to be a huge factor. As soon as the kids and I get an idea of when we'll be going, I'll let you all know!

A couple new pictures are up on the Cookie blog. Stinker in her duct tape diaper. Jamo lost another tooth. Lots of stories to share, but it will have to wait a little while...

Please let me know if you need any help with anything! I know that Emerson loves to play with Calet in nursery. He always talks about her on our drive home from church. And, CONGRATULATIONS to Brad and you all.

Wow, that is crazy! Sounds like your next few weeks will be pretty exciting.

Have you considered renting your house out if you can't sell it?

Oh, and isn't that so cool about Extreme Makeover!? I'm hoping to sneak over there and take a peek sometime this week.

Wowzers! That's exciting and I think it will be an awesome thing for you all. I've always wanted to visit that city. What's an ENT, an extra nice torturer (actually, that's supposed to be a gynecologist)?
I still miss you but now I'll have to picture my friend in PA instead of MI. Good luck!

What in the world?!? It's great that he is going to get to do what he wants... ya know, they should after all the hard work they have put into this thing! BTW, surgery program is moving to St. Francis and will be working at the Muskogee VA.

At least you've already got your house in shape to sell!

Amazing!! I fall out of the loop with the blogs for about a week and this is what I miss?! You are moving?? I still haven't found a ticket to MI that I have been able to purchase at a decent price. Guess I will have to start searching for one to Philly.

Say it ain't so... no, we're really happy for you guys. We will really miss you, though. Let me know if there's anything we can do to help. Have faith. Heavenly Father knows what you need and will provide it in better ways than we could ever devise.

Youre moving!? Ok..I'm a little late in the game. Sorry. But...youre moving!!! Thats what I hate about living in this town. What with Cooley, MSU, Sparrow, ect..we have so many families that move here for school..and then leave! Its so hard to have friends. *Sniff* Do you feel guilty yet? Hahaha:)No, but seriously thats way cool! I'm sure youre nervous/excited/stressed! Philly will be lucky to have you!
