I had this one:
"I'm sorry honey, I'm trying to get these leeches on a guy's ear and they just won't bite. I won't be able to make it home for dinner. I promise they won't get lost this time."

Seriously?? I thought that was seriously OLD SCHOOL medicine right there... and have they been lost and brought home in times past?? Oi!
Nope, medicinal leeches are still used. :o) Last year 2 got lost in the room. I never did find out what happened to them....
Yeah, I'd be concerned about the "losing" part of that explanation.... Maybe you should check him when he gets home ;)
